Inadequacy of bookmarks

August 11, 2003 – 9:13 pm

I am a Mozilla fan and I simply find the Bookmarks paradigm inadequate. I have two sets of Bookmarks, one at work and one at home. To keep them synched simply isn’t feasible if I want to keep the same structure of follders. IE with it’s favorites is easier in this regard but I really dislike IE for a variety of reasons. I’m not sure how Opera and other alternative browsers might manage their links so I might look in to it.

It would be nice to have a browser that can be set to sych with an online site like Yahoo does with it’s online calendar and I can’t imagine it would be technically difficult. That way, I could schedule my links to synch from work around 6 pm when I am on the way home and around 3 am when I am sure to be asleep.
